He smiles.
He coos. He LOVES his mama! No, seriously. His eyes will literally light up when I am in the room or he hears my voice. I am sure that I will pay for this dearly when he is 9 months old and going through separation anxiety, but for now I am LOVING it! I am quite proud of the fact that I am still nursing at 3 months and yet I am relaxed enough to allow the occasional bottle of formula so that I can have a break too. He is sleeping through the night from about 10:30 to 5:30. No complaints there! He had his 2 month checkup where he passed iwth flying colors. He weighed 10 lbs, 4 oz. and was 25 inches long. 25th percentile for weight and (get ready) 95th percentile for height. Hmmm, sounds like another Nathan I know!
He has been spending a lot of time in his car seat while I run the girls everywhere, but I got this fancy dancy mirror (http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=900003&e=detailimgview&pid=41727&num=1) that tricks my conscience into thinking this somehow stimulates his development. It even has a remote control so that I can operate it without taking my eyes of the road. Because with three kids in the car, I NEVER tak e my eyes off the road! :)
He has been through 6 states on two road trips: one to Destin, FL in July
OK, saved my two favorites for last: 1. This week he has found his feet. I love to see babies play with their feet! Especially when they just play with their bare feet while they coo and look at their mamas. Nothing better than that! 2. Hearing his little baby giggle. I can (and do!) spend hours trying to get him to laugh at me. Seriously. My heart just melts at his giggle. It even sounds like a boy giggle. Haven't video taped it yet, but that is next on the list!
Ok, thanks for indulging my bragging time. I keep reminding myself that the point of this blog was first envisioned to be a virtual scrapbook of all that was going on with the kids. I leave with one last picture - his "official" 3 month puppy dog picture.
